Singapore Gurkha Polyclinic is the outcome of the Ex-Singapore Police personnel who have had a high class medical facilities whilst serving in Singapore and felt that the same can be achieved anywhere in the world. The only requirement was the “will to do.” All like minded people came together and decided to give the society a different taste that was supported by a few doctors and staff of the organization.
Within a span of 6-12 months a group of Singapore Police Gurkhas decided to open the clinic. They were supported by the couple of good and well experienced doctors and nurses. Later they were joined by other retirees and also by some of the serving men from Singapore. The doors are open for all retires and serving personnel to be members of the polyclinic which is aiming to be a full fledge hospital. Official opening on 2nd Mar 2012 was inaugurated by Insp.(Retd) Bhakta Bahadur Pun (91 yrs.) one of the pioneer of Gurkha Contingent in 1949.
